A New Year, A New MCF

Speaking at MCF

The new year is fast approaching and during this time of reflection in 2018, Roundstone has a renewed focus on employer support. How can our team help employers have the best experience? The smallest amount of healthcare spend? Create the best outcomes for their employees? With the mission to help entire companies become better consumers of healthcare and achieve healthy levels of well-being, we have launched into the planning of our 4th Annual Roundstone Medical Captive Forum! We are excited to announce that this year’s event will take place in downtown Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday, May 7th and Wednesday, May 8th.

The Roundstone Medical Captive Forum (MCF) has, and will always be, dedicated to educating midsize employers on how to implement relevant health insurance cost saving strategies. Our attendees are small to midsize business C-suite executives, partnered with their trusted advisors. With our attendance growing exponentially each year, we have created an agenda which speaks to all participants, no matter what their title or level of familiarity with health insurance.

Our 2019 event will deliver the latest industry trends and innovation, best practices knowledge sharing, and well-being education. As always, our Tuesday night MCF Welcome Reception, which will be held in the atrium of The Global Center for Health Innovation, will be the perfect place to network and mingle, while taking in the views from Cleveland’s recently renewed conference venue. Guests will be able to reserve rooms at the attached Cleveland Downtown Hilton.

A mix of new offerings and highly-rated segments await attendees on Wednesday morning at the Grand Ballroom of The Global Center for Health Innovation. Mike Schroeder will kick off the day by introducing the exciting, new offerings at Roundstone. Next up will be Tom Emerick, President of Edison Healthcare and co-author of Cracking Health Costs, an instructional guide for small businesses to fight back against rising health care costs. Tom’s expertise and years served as a benefits executive for large companies such as Wal-Mart, Burger King, and British Petroleum, have granted him the insight to create a road map for executives wanting to do better for their employees. We will also be bringing back our highly praised industry partners and employer panels, designed for employers to learn best practices and engage in Q&A with their peers who have seen significant success implementing relevant strategies.

After lunch, attendees will be able to attend several breakout sessions, led by experts in areas such as:

  • – Dialysis Cost Containment,
  • – How to Instill a Culture of Well-being,
  • – The Benefits of Biometric Screenings, and
  • – How to Become Self Insured

These breakouts offer educational-based presentations (NOT SALES PITCHES!) as well as the opportunity for guests to ask questions through the Roundstone MCF app. By interacting with our app, the knowledge sharing will continue even after the Forum has concluded with feedback delivered to all inquiries.

To cap off the day, Karyn Buxman, will take the stage. Our past MCF keynote speakers have been amazing presenters with moving stories that touch the soul and bring the audience to tears and Karyn is no exception. Although the tears will most likely be from laughter… Karyn Buxman is a high energy international speaker, a successful author, and neurohumorist who specializes in the field of applied humor. As a National Speakers Association’s Hall of Fame Member, Kayrn’s message is one of laughter and leadership which has helped employers such as the US Air Force, the Mayo Clinic, and Pfizer.

The MCF remains aimed toward employers looking to do better for their company and their employees, as money saved can be reinvested in their business and/or passed back to the employees through a lower health benefit share and higher wages. We are committed to keeping the Roundstone Captive Forum a premier educational event. So, mark your calendar for May 7th & 8th 2019 because this is going to be the best MCF yet!
