Mike Schroeder,
Founder and President

Since 2005, Michael A. Schroeder has served as President of the Roundstone organization. Roundstone develops, underwrites and manages captive/self-insurance solutions.

 

Mike offers more than twenty-five years of insurance industry management experience. Mike delivers a track record of building and leading fast growing, innovative insurance businesses.

 

Prior to joining Roundstone, Mike served as Vice President and General Counsel for an insurance company while it transitioned into a NASDAQ listed AM Best A rated insurer. Mike was also the founder of a medical malpractice underwriter and shepherded its rapid growth prior to an acquisition by a large specialty insurer. Mike held senior level executive positions with a publicly held worker’s compensation insurer, a non-standard auto insurer and served as an associate of a Cleveland law firm.

 

Mike is a frequent speaker for trade associations, conferences and is published as an insurance thought leader in magazines, journals and newspapers throughout

 the country.

 

Mike Schroeder received his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Law and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Tulane University.

Robert Hamilton,
Executive Vice President
of Sales and Marketing

Since March 2016, Rob Hamilton has served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Roundstone Management. Rob’s primary responsibilities include prospecting and new business development, targeting

 mid-size employers.

 

 Roundstone develops and manages innovative captive/self-insurance solutions for a variety of exposures, including health insurance, malpractice, voluntary benefits, transportation, warranty and workers’ compensation.

 

 In addition to managing the Marketing department at Roundstone, Rob maintains direct oversight of the sales team including pipeline development, recruitment and training, while maintaining an industry leading client retention rate.

 

Rob offers over 20 years of executive sales leadership experience and P&L responsibility. Rob’s expertise in the wholesale distributor model has proven invaluable by working with intermediaries and expanding Roundstone’s national footprint with its innovative, group medical insurance products.

 

Rob received a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Eastern Illinois University. Originally from the Chicago area, Rob has lived in Cleveland, Ohio since 1999.

Matthew Monda,
Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer of Roundstone, Matthew Monda manages the day-to-day aspects of the company’s various programs. He also works closely with clients, their advisors, and our reinsurance partners to develop new risk management ideas utilizing captive insurance.

 

Matt joined Roundstone in 2012 as General Counsel. Prior to that, he was an attorney at a Cleveland law firm representing clients in transactional, general corporate, and real estate matters. His clients operated in an assortment of industries, with an emphasis in healthcare and insurance. In addition, Matt served as a Director and Secretary of several client owned captive insurance companies and was instrumental in the formation, licensing, and operation of these captives.

 

Matt received his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rhodes College.

Christopher Zirke,
General Counsel

Chris comes to Roundstone from the Gertsburg Law Firm, where he was the Chief Operating Officer (Integrator) for the past year, overseeing the firm’s four main verticals-marketing, operations, finance and administration.  Prior to stepping into the COO role, Chris’ practice was focused on franchise law – counseling and advising both franchisors and franchisees throughout their respective business cycles.  As a former business owner and franchisee, Chris understood the legal and operational challenges that accompany both franchisors and franchisees.  Chris guided franchisees through franchise selection, FDD review, pre-operations, operations and post operation issues.  In addition, Chris’ practice focused on making sure his clients understood their supply and indirect spend cubes.  Chris educated his clients on understanding their supplier agreements and emphasized that the most effective supplier agreements are also used as business tools to maximize efficiency and 

drive profit.

 

Prior to the Gertsburg Law Firm, Chris was the Vice President and General Counsel at Corporate United, Inc., one of nation’s largest private sector group purchasing organizations comprised of over 400 Fortune 1000 companies.   Chris oversaw all legal operations of Corporate United and drove efficiencies with the sales, account management, sourcing and human resource teams.  Prior to joining Corporate United, Chris led all RFx events for KeyBank’s Corporate Real Estate department and negotiated third party sourcing contracts across multiple lines of business for the bank. 

 

In 2004, Chris formed Blue Falcon Franchise Group, LLC and served as the CEO and Managing Member for 10 years.  Under his leadership, the company owned and operated multiple Jimmy John’s, Moe’s Southwest Grill and Soccer

Shots franchises. 

 

Outside the practice of law, Chris is an avid Cleveland sports and Seinfeld fan (Festivus, anyone?).  He was a member of the board of directors for Options for Family & Youth and now serves on the leadership team at Grace Church in Middleburg Heights.  Chris lives in Berea with his wife Heather, daughter Aurelia, and son Kip. He loves to travel with his family as much as possible.  In 2014, Chris and Heather received the Distinguished Visitor Award by the Aruba Tourism Authority.

Chad Buskirk,
Chief Accounting Officer

Chad Buskirk is Chief Accounting Officer of Roundstone Management, Ltd. Chad offers twenty-two years of accounting experience and eighteen years of insurance related experience with responsibilities in the self‐insurance, property and casualty, workers compensation, cost-containment and the regulatory environment. Roundstone develops and manages innovative captive/self‐insurance solutions for a variety of exposures, including health insurance, malpractice, voluntary benefits, transportation, warranty and workers’ compensation.

 

Prior to joining Roundstone, Chad served as Director of Accounting for a health insurance administrator that was a multiyear winner of the Weatherhead 100 Award for Northeast Ohio’s fastest growing companies. As part of Chad’s role with the health insurance administrator, Chad

participated in the management of an Ohio licensed multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA) for more than six years and was actively involved in the ongoing management of the administrator’s self‐insured program. In addition, Chad was involved in the start‐up and/or management of multiple healthcare related businesses including a claims & eligibility auditing company, utilization review company, two healthcare related internet based businesses and an

Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation managed care organization. Before entering the healthcare field, Chad spent four years in the public sector of accounting.

 

Chad received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.

Jasmine Bibb,
Customer Experience Manager

As an experienced health insurance professional, Jasmine has acquired a diverse skillset of experiences that include small, mid-size and large employer strategic initiatives, new business development, client management, market research, and product development.

 

As Customer Experience Manager, Jasmine is responsible for facilitating ownership of customer experience excellence throughout the organization. She works closely with all internal business units, clients and advisors to ensure Roundstone’s vision for customer experience excellence strategically aligns with the expectations and goals, that contribute to a sustainable mutual relationship.

 

Jasmine received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Ursuline College, and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Ohio University.

Holly Braschwitz,
Regional Practice Leader

Holly Braschwitz serves as Regional Practice Leader and is responsible for several states including; MT, ND, SD, WY, UT, NE, KS, OK, MN and IA. Holly comes to Roundstone with 10+ years of experience in helping advisors and organizations in both the large and small group markets. She is excited for the opportunity to help companies lower their benefit costs with the Roundstone Solutions. She believes the self-funded solutions we offer are the only way to help lower benefit costs in the mid-group market.

 

Holly has led a vibrant career in business development in various industries including payroll, telemedicine and insurance. She is a proud Kappa Kappa Gamma Alum from the University of Akron, where she majored in English Literature. She is a basketball mom, has two boys and loves to cook for her family. Holly was once a professional dancer and was a cast member of the 125th edition of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus. Today, she is still actively acting, dancing and modeling.

Eddie Castro,
Regional Practice Leader

Eddie Castro serves as a Regional Practice Leader and is responsible for several states including; Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Eddie holds Insurance licenses in Life, Health, Property and Casualty and Variable Annuities and is a member of The Risk Insurance Management Society. Eddie enjoys working with both Benefit Consultants as well as their Clients to help them control the cost of their healthcare spend by Introducing them to alternative self-funding strategies offered 
by Roundstone.

 

Roundstone’s unique solution has transformed the health care marketplace by offering transparency of claim detail, control over plan design and a variable solution for cost savings. Using this solution, Eddie assists in sourcing the market’s best resources for curbing the rising costs of pharmacy, and tools such as healthcare advocate services, biometric testing, and wellness initiatives.

 

Working in the Insurance industry for over 20 years, Eddie has led a dynamic career in sales and sales management. He attended Bowling Green State University as well as Baldwin Wallace University with a focus on Business Management.  Eddie is married to his wife Joanne, and together with their 4 children live in North Royalton, Ohio. He enjoys all types of music, fitness, yoga and meditation.

Kenny Fritz,
Regional Practice Leader

Kenny Fritz serves as a Regional Practice Leader and is responsible for several states including; Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.  As a former employee benefits broker, Kenny is dedicated to solving complex insurance concerns and helping advisors design a comprehensive benefit program tailored to their clients.   By only working with employee benefit advisors/brokers, Kenny collaborates to create benefit packages that deliver beneficial long-term cost and claim containment.

 

Kenny bring 20 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from DeVry University.  Kenny is married to his soul mate and is the proud father of two daughters.  In his spare time, you can find him on the golf course, following sports and watching his kids change the world.

David Konrad,
Regional Practice Leader

David Konrad serves as Regional Practice Leader and is responsible for several states including; AK, ID, ME, MA, NH, northeast and central OH, OR, RI, VT, and WA. He has been with Roundstone since 2007. Dave offers more than twenty years of financial and insurance industry sales and management experience with responsibilities in the Employee Benefit, Property and Casualty group, single parent, and micro captive markets.

 

Roundstone has revolutionized the health care industry by providing turnkey solutions for the three essential requirements of a successful health benefit plan; Funding Strategy, Claims Management and Cost Containment.

 

Prior to joining Roundstone, Dave served as RVP at Citizens Bank and First Horizon in the wholesale and retail mortgage banking industries.

 

Dave received his Masters of International Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and International Business from The Ohio State University.

Jim Mohler,
Regional Practice Leader

Jim Mohler serves as Regional Practice Leader and is responsible for several states including; CT, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, WV, and DC. He has been involved with employee benefits and alternate funding medical plans since 1980, on both the carrier and broker side of the insurance market. Jim’s background includes underwriting and marketing medical alternative risk products, captives, and specialty insurance programs. He has worked extensively with medical captives since 2011.

 

Roundstone has transformed the health care marketplace by offering innovative captive/self-insurance solutions for a variety of exposures, including health insurance, malpractice, voluntary benefits, transportation, warranty and workers’ compensation.

 

Jim has opened and managed sales offices for several insurance companies throughout the United States, including many who marketed traditional and alternate funding medical programs. Jim was raised in Western Pennsylvania and graduated with a degree in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Bob Pace serves as Regional Practice Leader and is responsible for several states including; AR, southern and western OH, NC, SC, and TX. Bob is passionate about helping employers save money on their healthcare spend and he enjoys working with customer to discover the best solution for their specific needs. By working with employee benefit advisors/consultants, Bob collaborates to create a plan that provides a complete solution for employers.


Roundstone’s unique solution has transformed the health care marketplace by offering transparency of claim detail, control over plan design and a variable solution for cost savings. Using this solution, Bob assists in sourcing the market’s best resources for curbing the rising costs of pharmacy, and tools such as healthcare advocate services, biometric testing and wellness initiatives.


Since 1988, Bob has led a dynamic career in sales and sales management in numerous industries including technology, printing and insurance. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Economics from Denison University.  Bob is a proud father to one son and married to his college sweetheart. He enjoys sports and travel.

Regional Practice Leader

Steve Sopko serves as Regional Practice Leader and is responsible for several states including; IL, MO, OK, and WI. He has been with Roundstone since 2019. Steve is focused on prospecting, new business development, and building partnerships with key advisors in his area to deliver cost containment solutions to mid-size employers.

 

Since 2005, Roundstone has revolutionized the health care industry by providing turnkey solutions for the three essential requirements of a successful health benefit plan; Funding Strategy, Claims Management, and Cost Containment.

 

Steve comes to Roundstone after spending 25 years in the medical device industry as a sales representative, sales trainer, and regional sales mgr. with two Fortune 500 medical companies. Most recently as General Manager North America of sales & operations for Dynamic Controls, based out of New Zealand.

 

Steve attended Kent State University and Tiffin University, in pursuit of a degree in Business Management. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio he is a fan of all things Cleveland especially the professional sports teams. He resides in Avon, Ohio with his wife Linda and his two children Jake and Katie. Steve enjoys spending time with friends, family, traveling, and activities on the water or near a beach!

Steve Sullivan serves as Regional Practice Leader and is responsible for several states including; AR, AL, FL, GA, LA, MS and TN. Steve’s primary responsibilities include prospecting and new business development, targeting mid-size employers.

 

Since 2005, Roundstone has been a leading innovator in providing group captive solutions for a variety of exposures, including health insurance, malpractice, voluntary benefits, transportation, warranty and workers’ compensation.

 

Steve comes to Roundstone with over 20 years of marketing and sales leadership experience in both the biotech and medical device industries. He has helped launch several successful start-ups. Steve’s broad expertise in the healthcare industry and in depth understanding of the healthcare system are invaluable assets to the

 Roundstone team.

 

Steve earned his MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Pennsylvania State University.

 

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Steve has lived in Rocky River, OH since 2004 with his wife, Anette and 2 children; Olivia and Colton.

Sam Walters,
Regional Practice Leader

Sam Walters serves as Regional Practice Leader and is responsible for several states including; CA, HI, IN, NV, and MI. He has been with Roundstone since 2014. Sam is focused on finding solutions that help small to mid-market employers contain costs and take back control of their healthcare spend. Sam has been in the Insurance Industry since 2005, with experience in Commercial Property & Casualty, P&C Captives, and Medical Stop Loss Captives.

 

Since 2005, Roundstone has pioneered group captive self-insurance solutions for the health care marketplace, to include health insurance, malpractice, voluntary benefits, as well as other exposures in the area of transportation, warranty and workers’ compensation.

 

Sam was born and raised in Cleveland. He attended St. Ignatius High School and received a Marketing Degree from Cleveland State University. He’s a huge Cleveland sports and a big Ohio State Buckeye fan. While not traveling, Sam enjoys time fishing on his boat and spending time with friends and family.
