Do your employees actually use their healthcare benefits? United Food Bank CEO Dave Richins noticed his employees weren’t using the coverage they were paying for, and wanted a better option for his people. Mahoney Group benefits advisor Jentry Harris guided Richins to a Roundstone self-funded group medical captive insurance plan – and the rest is history!

Richins was able to implement zero-copays and immediate access to higher-quality care, which improved utility rates- all at a lower cost. Higher utilization of preventative and maintenance care also means fewer surprise emergencies down the road, which means happier, healthier employees (and lower healthcare costs) for years to come.

Read about United Food Bank’s new benefits, and the steps they took to reduce costs while improving quality of care, in our latest case study.
