December 2017 Cost Containment Tips

  • Create a wellness program for your employees. Start small so it is manageable and consistent.
  • Find an employee to be your champion to implement a wellness program (it doesn’t need to be an HR person, just somebody passionate about wellness). If your organization is large enough, consider working with a fitness/wellness expert.
  • Create excitement for the wellness program by creating incentives for employees to participate, as well as incentives and rewards for those who reach achievable milestones.
  • As a CEO or upper management, you should clearly communicate to employees that their health matters to the company and that their well-being is good for the business. Show them that funding a wellness program is a top priority by leading the way with creating a culture of health and wellness.
